Upland Hunts And South Texas Quail Hunts

Rocking L Outfitters offers quality upland game hunting for pen raised Quail, Pheasant, and Chucker partridge. We conduct these hunts just West of Houston. Many clients choose to enjoy an afternoon hunt after a morning of goose or duck hunting. We use quality trained pointers and/ or pointing/ flushing labs. Your professional guide will make this an enjoyable hunt for all. This is a great way for a family to spend some time in the field watching good dogs work the field for the birds, while spending some time with the ones you love the best.

We also offer quail hunts in South Texas for wild Bobwhites. Come enjoy a day or afternoon with a professional guide and his quality dogs. This is a true gentlemen’s hunt. On a regular basis we put up 15- 30 coveys a day. That’s a lot of action, in case you never have experienced it.

What is furnished:

• Guide
• Dogs
• Orange vests

What is not furnished:

• Shotgun
• Shells (lead #6’s or #8’s)
• Comfortable clothing
• Good field boot (we will be walking a fair amount)

You must have a valid Texas hunting license.

Upland : Pen raised no season.

Quail: 2007/ not set until August

Prices:

Quail, Pheasant, Chucker Hunts: (minimum 3 hunters)

• $175.00 per hunter, per day
• 10 Quail or 3 pheasants and 4 chuckers

*You can purchase extra birds as well

South Texas Quail hunts: (minimum 3 hunters)

• 1 day guided hunt with lunch $500.00 per hunter, per day
• Lodging and meals $75.00 per night
• Non hunting guest $75.00 per night
• *Use your own dogs $375.00 per hunter, per day
