Duck Hunting

Rocking L Outfitters provides exceptional wing shooting for numerous species of ducks. Our seasoned professional guides will provide the knowledge and skills to fill your bag limit and make your trip exciting. Hunts take place on prime duck ponds, reservoirs, and marshland, in the Katy, Eagle Lake, Garwood, and Port Lavaca areas. We hunt form pit blinds sunk in the ground, traditional duck blinds above ground, and coffin type layout blinds as well as using natural cover on the ground. Upon meeting your guide in the morning, he will discuss the plans for the day’s hunt. Your party will follow the guide to the location, and assist in putting the decoys out (See below for Executive Hunt option). Our decoy spreads vary in numbers and style depending on location and weather conditions. All of are guide’s have ATV’s to carry the decoys out and anybody that might need assistance. Upon completion of a successful hunt or before noon, we will pick up decoys and all trash. The species of ducks you can expect are Pintails, Widgeon, Gadwall, Mallard, Mottled duck, Green-winged Teal, Blue-winged Teal, Shoveler, Redhead, Wood duck, Fulvous tree duck, Black-bellied tree duck, Canvasback, and Scaup.

• Texas hunting license and waterfowl stamps
• Hunters education card (See TPWD page for details)
• Shotgun
• Non-Toxic Shells
• Camouflage clothing (dress in layers it is Texas, It could be 30’s in the morning and 70’s when we start to pick up decoys)
• Waders
• Rain jacket
• Facemask
• Gloves

Prices:

• $150.00 per hunter
• $200.00 per hunter for Executive option (We put out all decoys and pick them up, you enjoy the hunt) only on private parties can you use this option.

Goose Packages:

Includes hunting, lodging, and meals.

• 2 day package $550.00
• 3 day package $795.00
• 4 day package $1,000.00
• 5 day package $1,200.00
• $75.00 for extra night
• Add $50.00 per hunter per day for the Executive option.

Afternoon duck hunts $100.00 per hunter (minimum of 3 people) For customers that hunt in the morning or customers at the lodge

Bird cleaning $2.00 per bird
