Dove

We manage and hunt ONLY productive hunting areas, in both central and south zones as well as the special white-winged areas. With Rocking L Outfitters, you can expect professional and friendly service. If there is anything we can do for you before your hunt please let us know, we are here to serve you.

Our central zone dove hunting is located just west of Houston, in the Katy, Waller, and Hockley areas. The close proximity to Houston makes this convenient to get a morning hunt in before work, or leave the office early for an afternoon hunt. You will have the opportunity to hunt Mourning doves and some White-Winged doves. We hunt in corn, milo, goat weed, and fallow ground.

Our south zone dove hunts are done in two locations, south of I-10 around Houston and in south Texas around Falfurrias and Hebbronville. The hunts conducted in south Texas are available with lodging and meals for an additional charge.

Our WHITEWING HUNTS are located on the Rio Grande River near Progreso, TX. This is a special 2-weekend season in a 4 county area. We have spared no expense in making sure this is a trip of a lifetime and have even enlisted the expertise of a Texas Parks and Wildlife Biologist to ensure you the maximum hunting opportunities by developing the areas you will hunt with only one thing in mind, the perfect White wing dove habitat! The hunts will be over sunflower fields with brush lines and water, it just cannot get any better!

You must have a valid Texas hunting license. Upland game bird endorsement $7.00

Special White-Winged season: (Legal shooting hours are from noon to sunset) September 1,2,8,9

Prices:

Central and south zone hunts: $75.00 per day per person (+ Tips)
Special White-Winged hunts: $125.00 per person per day (+ Tips)

Lodging and meals for south Texas hunts: $75.00 per day

Other lodging will be available in Weslaco, McAllen and Donna Texas.

Commercial air will be available in McAllen or Harlingen and ground transportation is available. Private planes can land at Weslaco airport.
